Take a look at some of the many projects Parkserve have worked on and completed…

Three Mills

Parkserve carried out a refurbishment project to revive the tired and out dated existing toilet blocks to 3 separate areas. The building remained in full operation, so Parkserve very carefully sequenced and managed the works to ensure absolute minimal disruption. It was imperative that business as usual operations were completely unaffected.

Our teams are very well versed in operating within occupied premises. Politeness, courtesy and professionalism is paramount.

The works comprised the full refurbishment including upgrading and replacing of all surfaces, finishes and sanitaryware and brassware.

Queen Elizabeth Park

Run Project

We have completed the renovation and repair of the iconic RUN sign at the Copper Box Arena in Stratford to bring the artwork back to its very best. Working closely and strategically with each of our in-house and specialist disciplines, we collectively delivered the infrastructure glazing rebuild, full cleaning, repair and refurbishment project to a very tight timeline. It was a project that needed the most careful planning and control to overcome all of the logistical, safe access and associated health and safety challenges. The project also required us to carry out the complex lighting repair and upgrade aspect, The challenging project involved replicating the original designers concept to bring the art piece back in to service.  In the evening this structure now looks incredible, and stands proudly illuminated, in front of the Copper Box Arena.

Mechanical & Electrical

Underbridge Lighting

Some of our projects, on the face of it, can seem pretty straightforward, whilst they hide a multitude of challenges. This was the case for this lighting upgrade project. The existing lights had been in place for many years, most had failed. We needed to source a modern day, low maintenance replacement that would fit, would have the right outputs and the correct water proof ratings. Access to the existing caged units was challenging due to the rake of the wall which required a specialist access platform boom lift. The existing units were difficult to access and maintenance had therefore been infrequent. Fixings and bolts and the access gages had become stuck fast. Once we had the right access available we were able to systematically work on the units to free up, remove the existing and then source the right replacement solution.

Lighting has a huge impact when done well and we were really pleased with the final results that gave an entirely new and fresh feel to the external space.

Queen Elizabeth Park

Copper Box Tree Lighting

The client brief was simply to add lighting to the trees to the front of the Copper Box Arena. These would complement the newly refurbished RUN art piece. We needed to ensure the correct array and distribution of lighting to achieve the best effect and then to design the electrical supply arrangements. The final result is simple yet effective.

Tessa Jowell Boulevard – Resurfacing

On the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, probably the most heavily trafficked area is the Tessa Jowell Boulevard. Effectively it is the backbone for access running through the whole park.

With the constant heavy use it had become worn and damaged from continued footfall and increasingly, from cycle use and other mobility modes, the thoroughfare had become worn to such an extent that intervention was necessary. Parkserve undertook to lift the existing and to resurface the area sectionally to provide a fresh new hard wearing finish. Of course the logistics and sequencing for this needed to be very carefully planned to minimise disruption. This required pedestrian diversion and management, temporary closures and access, and sequencing to allow safe and adequate flow through the space.

Handrail Lighting

The lighting to one of the main bridge crossings on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park was inoperable for some time before we were asked to create a cost effective solution. Upon investigations we establish a multitude of problems with supply issues and fitting and component failures. We systematically worked through all feed issues, replacing cabling, ducting and breakers. We then refurbished all the fittings and replaced them all into their housings The bridge is now looking back at its best.
